Arsenal shared the spoils against Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

The Gunners started the game 16 points behind leaders Liverpool with two matches in hand.

They had to beat the Red Devils on the road but failed to produce the desired result.

United played a low block for most of the game and scored right before the interval. Bruno Fernandes found the net with a sublime free-kick.

Arsenal could have been 2-0 down before the hour mark, but goalkeeper David Raya came up with a sensational block with his right foot.

The Gunners eventually managed to pull level through Declan Rice, who was afforded space at the edge of the box to unleash his shot on goal.

United could have still won the contest. Rice and Gabriel made last-ditch challenges on Rasmus Hojlund.

Raya pulled off a stupendous double save at the end to ensure Arsenal came up with a point at least.

The Spaniard was extraordinary in goal for United, but Rice also stepped up in the second half.

The England international had a poor performance against West Ham United last month, and manager Mikel Arteta rightly substituted him early.

He showed signs of improvement against Nottingham Forest before grabbing an impressive assist in the 7-1 win over PSV in the Champions League.

Rice had one of his best games of the season at Old Trafford. He scored the crucial equaliser and made a sublime tackle to deny Hojlund a clear-cut chance.

The midfielder won 100 percent of his tackles with seven recoveries. He also won three duels against United with 15 passes into the final third.

Rice received an 8/10 rating for his display from Goal. Arsenal are no longer in the title race with a 15-point gap to Arne Slot’s side with a game in hand.

They need to focus on trying to win the Champions League, which is a monumental task. Rice will have a big role to play from the number eight position.
