Liverpool faced off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure all three points on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the ninth minute when Harvey Elliott found the back of the net. However, Yasin Ayari equalised for the home team in the 32nd minute before Dominik Szoboszlai put Liverpool ahead with a great strike in the dying embers of the first half. Arne Slot’s men were leading 2-1 at the half-time interval.
Kaoru Mitoma equalised for the Seagulls in the 69th minute before Jack Hinshelwood put Brighton ahead in the 86th minute. The match ended with the Reds suffering a tough 3-2 loss away from home.

GK: Alisson Becker – 8/10
Alisson made a lot of crucial saves at the back but still ended up conceding three times tonight.
RB: Conor Bradley – 7/10
He cleared the danger when he could and was a threat going forward. Bradley has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 5.5/10
Konate did his fair share of defending but failed to keep things tidy at the back.
CB: Jarell Quansah – 6.5/10
He made a lot of important clearances at the back but was caught out of position at times.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas – 6/10
He performed his defensive duties well but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6.5/10
Gravenberch earned possession back a couple of times and made one decent run with the ball.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 7.5/10
He scored a great goal in the latter stages of the first half to put Liverpool ahead.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 6.5/10
Salah was a constant menace in the final third and failed to take his chances to find the back of the net.
CAM: Harvey Elliott – 8/10
Elliott was a real threat up top and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.
LW: Cody Gakpo – 7/10
He caught the eye at times on the left flank but failed to register a goal.
ST: Federico Chiesa – 6/10
Chiesa made two key chances for others around him but never looked like he would score.

He failed to make an impact.
LW: Luis Diaz – 6/10
Diaz was always willing to run with the ball.
CM: Curtis Jones – 6/10
He made one good chance in the final third.
