Allianz Arena potential venue | OneFootball

The German Football Association (DFB) would like to host the 2029 European Women's Championship in Germany, and the Allianz Arena will be submitting its application for the national selection process as a possible venue. The association has until 12 March 2025 to submit the provisional documents to UEFA, which will include eight to ten stadiums.

Jürgen Muth, managing director of the Allianz Arena: "Women's football has been continuously developing at the highest level for years, and our common goal is to continue to promote it. In this respect, a European Championship in Germany would send out a good signal. The Allianz Arena is supporting the German Football Association by becoming part of its bidding process. We will see what UEFA decides."

17 venues in Germany submitted their official declaration of participation in the national bidding process by the deadline, including all ten hosts of this year's European Men's Championship: in addition to Munich, these are Berlin, Bremen, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Essen, Frankfurt am Main, Freiburg, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Leipzig, Mainz, Rostock, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg. "We are delighted with the interest shown throughout Germany in organising matches for the UEFA Women's EURO 2029 and these 17 venues will strengthen our position for the rest of the bidding process with the common goal of bringing the UEFA Women's EURO 2029 to Germany," said DFB General Secretary Heike Ullrich.

The UEFA Executive Committee will announce the host of the European Championship in December 2025. The tournament will be played with 16 teams over 31 matchdays. Switzerland are the hosts of the 2025 European Championship.
