Andoni Iraola can bring best out of Dominic Solanke if he replaces Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has remained patient with Ange Postecoglou, but pressure is mounting on the Spurs boss after the 2-0 defeat against Fulham in the Premier League.
Spurs have reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League, but they have been shockingly poor in the Premier League this season. It was Tottenham’s 15th defeat of the season, and many fans are scratching their heads once more.
Tottenham are 17 points clear of the relegation zone, but they are a far better team than their league position (14th in the table) suggests.
Postecoglou’s future is hanging by a thread. While Spurs may allow him to continue until the end of the season, his position will get untenable if they keep losing more games.
He now has a near-full-strength squad to choose from, and yet the results are far from satisfactory. How long can they keep their faith in him?
According to a report from the Telegraph, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva are emerging as candidates to replace Postecoglou at Spurs.
If Spurs decide to sack Postecoglou, they should appoint Iraola as their next manager.
The 42-year-old manager has done an incredible job at Bournemouth, and several aspects of his management should attract Levy.
He loves to play an attacking brand of football, but unlike Postecoglou, he doesn’t have a rigid system. In that way, his cohesive style of play is more like Mauricio Pochettino’s approach, and Spurs fans should love it.
The Spaniard has done well against big teams in the Premier League and has not buckled under pressure despite injury problems.
Moreover, he should be getting the best out of Dominic Solanke. Spurs paid a massive fee of around £65 million to sign Solanke, and while he has done well in his first season, there is a feeling among the fans that he could have done more.
Solanke scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season, and Iraola made him one of the best strikers in England. Spurs have invested heavily in the striker and must find a way to get the most out of him. Appointing Iraola is a no-brainer.
