Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic will officiate Tuesday’s Champions League semi-finals first leg between Arsenal and PSG, UEFA have confirmed. Vincic will be in familiar territory at London’s Emirates Stadium as he was already tasked to officiate this season’s clash between Mikel Arteta’s Gunners and Luis Enrique’s Parisiens, in Matchday 2 of the revamped Champions League. Arsenal eventually won 2-0 courtesy of goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. During the contest, the 45-year-old Slovenian referee booked Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori and PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

Before the defeat at Emirates Stadium, PSG and Vincic had already crossed paths in Europe’s premier club competition. The Slovenian referee officiated in last season’s 3-0 home rout of AC Milan. Vincic is an experienced referee on the European stage. He was honored to officiate last year’s Champions League Final at Wembley between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
