INEOS have seemingly set their sights on bolstering Ruben Amorim’s squad with Premier League-proven stars this summer.

By doing so, Manchester United can avoid spending ludicrous fees on players who are simply not cut out for the English top flight, such as Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund and Manuel Ugarte, to name a few.

Already have the Red Devils seen themselves heavily linked with two sought-after attackers in the form of Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap. The former is expected to join irrespective of whether the club reign victorious in the Europa League final, while the latter, who’s keen on playing European football next season, is biding his time before making a concrete decision on his future.

Deals for Cunha and Delap would be relatively straightforward as long as personal terms are agreed, as both have release clauses in their contracts that will allow United to sign them for a total of £92.5 million. Reports have suggested the funds are already in place to sanction the double-swoop without making sales beforehand.

As for their newly established target, talkSPORT claims United have ‘held talks’ with Bournemouth talisman Antoine Semenyo.

United ignite pursuit of in-form Semenyo

The Cherries hope to recuperate a fee of around £50-60m – according to Football Insider – if they’re to part ways with the unstoppable forward in the coming months, and while his departure will come as a tough pill to swallow for Andoni Iraola and Co, they stand to make a substantial profit on the £10.5m they paid for Semenyo back in January 2023.

Semenyo, 25, seamlessly slotted in to provide the attacking threat in Ivan Toney’s absence this term. He has recorded a tremendous nine goals and six assists in 35 appearances, including vital contributions against the likes of United (twice), Chelsea, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
