Paris Saint-Germain are looking to bolster their attack for the future, with Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán emerging as a potential target.
Journalist Ben Jacobs recently reported that while PSG remain interested in Durán, negotiations could be challenging due to Villa’s £80 million asking price. This valuation is based on Durán’s solid performances and a recent contract extension, with Villa reportedly unwilling to sell unless a remarkable offer comes through.
PSG, however, believe Durán’s market value is around £25 million lower than Villa’s current demand. The Colombian forward is also attracting interest from other clubs.
In a separate update, Jacobs confirmed that Aston Villa rejected a £57 million bid from West Ham for Durán, marking the Hammers’ second attempt to sign him this transfer window. Villa are reportedly not planning to sell in January, with only an offer close to £85 million (€100 million) likely to sway their stance—an amount also mentioned by PSG.

During an AMA session for TEAMtalk, journalist Rudy Galetti spoke about where West Ham stands in this pursuit of the Colombian.
“West Ham are pushing hard for Durán and have put a significant offer on the table. However, Aston Villa, which do not want to sell Jhon this session, are asking for much higher, and there is still almost £20 million in difference.
“To date, it seems to be an unbridgeable gap, but West Ham will certainly try to negotiate the situation. Also, watch out for possible competitors who could enter the race in the final days of the transfer window…”
Recently, L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reported that PSG are determined to do everything possible to sign Salah next summer. The Egyptian forward is their top offensive target, alongside Durán. As a result, the Hammers likely feel the need to edge PSG in the race for the talented young attacker.
