Marquinhos’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is up in the air, with L’Équipe reporting growing concerns within the club that he might leave despite being under contract through June 2028.
The Brazilian defender is said to be intrigued by a possible move to Saudi Arabia, where a lucrative offer could be waiting. His departure wouldn’t come as a huge shock, especially as PSG continues to reshape its defense with younger talent.
In recent windows, the club has brought in Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho, and if Marquinhos does end up moving on, PSG will likely be in the market for another center-back this summer—if they aren’t already.

According to Fichajes, PSG have already put their replacement plan in motion and is eyeing one of Spain’s most promising young center-backs—Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera.
The report suggests that the club’s decision to move on from Marquinhos isn’t just about performance. At 30, the Brazilian defender still holds significant market value, and his departure would help free up salary space while bringing in funds to reinvest in the squad.
Nonetheless, if Mosquera is their top target then they’ll face competition for the player as he’s been linked to AC Milan and Atletico Madrid in the past. As a result, PSG could be in a bidding war over the summer window to ensure they secure a proper replacement for Marquinhos.
