Marc Casado has been one of the rising stars in La Liga this season, fully capitalising on Marc Bernal’s early season injury.
From being regarded as one of the most talented midfielders, Casado has become a key component in the Barcelona first-team midfield, forming a solid combination alongside Pedri.
Casado has indeed been an ever-present figure in the Barcelona team this season, racking up 15 appearances and even winning his maiden call-up for the Spanish national team.
During this journey, Casado’s value has also skyrocketed, with a recent report from SPORT highlighting how his value has multiplied a hundred times in the last two years.
Casado’s market value stood at €150,000 just before his competitive debut against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League. Following the debut, his value rose to €250,000.
Starting at just €600,000 at the end of 2023, Casado quickly gained recognition, reaching €1.5 million by March.

By the summer, his valuation had soared to €2.5 million. His latest market value update, recorded on October 11, stands at an astonishing €15 million, a hundredfold increase in two years.
Despite this impressive ascent, there is still room for improvement. Casadó now holds the 16th highest market value in Barcelona’s first-team squad, tied with stars like Ansu Fati and Robert Lewandowski.
If Casado continues his stellar performances throughout the course of the campaign, one would expect his valuation to go up further – perhaps even touching €50 million by the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Should Casado’s valuation reach €50 million, it would make for a 333x jump over the player’s initial valuation of €150,000, in a period of three years – an excellent return on investment.
