Much has been said about the future of Barcelona playmaker Dani Olmo, who could become a free agent after Barcelona failed to meet his registration deadline.

Although there have been conflicting reports surrounding his future, several outlets already claim that the midfielder has been courted by multiple clubs across Europe.

Olmo contacted by five clubs

Now, a recent report from Jose Felix Diaz (h/t FCB World) suggests that as many as five European clubs have courted Olmo.

The journalist does, however, clarify that the clubs in question are not Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid. This will come as a relief for Barcelona as they would not want to see their star player join a direct rival.

Olmo, for his part, has remained calm about his situation and his priority is to continue at Barcelona.

The report adds that Olmo does want to remain in La Liga should he leave Barcelona this month. It appears he will be looking for a new adventure elsewhere.

There should be no shortage of suitors either, as multiple clubs including Premier League giants such as Manchester United and Manchester City are keeping a close eye on his situation.

Having spent a significant time in the Bundesliga, it won’t be surprising to see Olmo settling for a move to the Premier League.

However, all of this remains purely hypothetical and Barcelona still haven’t given up on their bid to register Olmo or Victor, for that matter.

Today could prove to be a pivotal day as Barcelona are awaiting a fresh inflow of funds, which may help the club return to the Financial Fair Play ambit.
