Barcelona sensation renegotiating salary structure despite committing future until 2030 | OneFootball

Barcelona and Lamine Yamal’s representatives are currently in discussions to revise the financial terms of his contract, as per a recent report from Mundo Deportivo.

The outlet suggests that the young winger’s salary, which was set in his 2024 agreement, no longer reflects his growing importance in the team.

At present, Yamal is earning the minimum wage for a first-team player at Barcelona. Interestingly, his performance-based bonuses bring in more than his fixed salary.

While his new contract, agreed to be until June 30, 2030, although not officially signed, initially doubled his earnings, that increase is now seen as insufficient given his rapid rise.

He has established himself as a key player for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team. After securing the European Championship last summer, his profile has soared, making him one of the club’s biggest commercial assets.
