Barcelona star limps out of Real Madrid clash with injury | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday been dealt a potential blow on the personnel front.

This comes after a leading member of the Blaugrana’s backline was forced into a premature departure from their latest outing.

Barcelona of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming arch rivals Real Madrid to Catalunya’s capital for the season’s final edition of El Clásico.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops emerged on the right side of the result, thanking another historic ‘remontada’ for an eventual 4-3 triumph.

Barca, in turn, are just a solitary victory away from the La Liga title.

As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise stellar day’s work for the Catalans on Sunday, one source of concern was also forthcoming, on the personnel front.

This came early in the 2nd-half, upon Pau Cubarsí going to ground suddenly off the ball.

It quickly became evident that the 18-year-old was in no fit state to continue, hauled off by the hosts’ coaching staff as a result.

It now remains to be seen if Cubarsí is facing up to any sort of incoming spell on the sidelines.
