Bayern Munich XI vs Bayer Leverkusen – Predicted lineup and team news

Bayern Munich head to Bayer Leverkusen tonight with one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The German giants lead their domestic rivals 3-0 on aggregate, following an accomplished first-leg performance in Munich. Harry Kane scored twice in the first meeting, either side of Jamal Musiala’s goal for Bayern.
Vincent Kompany’s side continue to pursue success on two fronts. Currently eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, a shock defeat to Vfl Bochum went unpunished as second-placed Leverkusen also lost to Werder Bremen.
However, Kompany will be concerned by how his side surrendered a two-goal lead. Bayern were in control after Raphael Guerreiro’s brace but collapsed to lose 3-2 at the Allianz Arena, with Joao Palhinha sent off before half-time.
The Belgian will be determined to ensure there is no such defensive generosity in Leverkusen this evening.
Jonas Urbig will feature in goal with Manuel Neuer not expected back until the end of the month. The veteran shot-stopper sustained a calf issue when celebrating Musiala’s goal in last week’s first-leg win over Leverkusen.
Joao Palhinha is available despite his red card in the Bundesliga at the weekend, with his suspension not applicable in Europe. Josip Stanisic will hope to get the nod at full-back against the side he won the Bundesliga with on loan at last season.
Bayern Munich predicted XI: Urbig; Stanisic, Upamecano, Kim, Davies; Goretzka, Kimmich; Olise, Musiala, Guerreiro; Kane.
Bayer Leverkusen host Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League on Tuesday 11th March 2025. Kick-off in Germany is 20:00 GMT.
The clash will be shown live on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports 3.
