Venezia attacking midfielder Gaetano Oristanio will be back for tomorrow’s Serie A clash with his former team Inter Milan.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. According to the report, the 22-year-old is fully fit. Oristanio has had a slight calf problem.
The problem came up in last weekend’s Serie A match against Empoli.
Oristanio joined Venezia from Inter during the last summer transfer window. The Italian youth team international had spent last season on loan with Cagliari.
However, it was newly-promoted Venezia who signed him for this season.
The Lagunari did not just sign Oristanio on loan, moreover. They signed the 22-year-old on a permanent basis.
That is a show of the faith that Venezia have in Oristanio to be a key player for their project.
And so far this campaign, Oristanio has certainly repaid Venezia’s faith.
The 22-year-old has been a talismanic figure for Eusebio Di Francesco’s team.
Oristanio has scored two goals and made three assists in Serie A this season. But beyond that, he is a key player at driving the ball forward, offering an outlet in attack, and winning fouls.
Therefore, Venezia certainly will want Oristanio in the team against Inter tomorrow.
And for the young attacking midfielder it is a big chance to shine against his old side.
Oristanio had to come off the pitch with a calf problem against Empoli last weekend. However, reports FCIN, he has shaken it off and can start against Inter.
