Both Inzaghi brothers enjoying great seasons

It's been a good season for the Inzaghi brothers of Simone and Filippo so far and one that could see them face off against each other once again next season.
Just last week Internazionale manager Simone's side overcame Barcelona to set up a Champions League final in what was one of the all-time great semi-finals over both legs. The Nerazzurri face Paris Saint-Germain in Munich to potentially become the first Italian side to win the Champions League since Inter did it themselves in 2010 with José Mourinho at the helm as they defeated Bayern 2-0 in the final at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The Serie A title is still a possibility for Inter as well, although they will require Napoli to slip up in one of their final two games of the season.
Of course, Simone Inzaghi is one of Italy's best managers, having lifted the Coppa Italia with Lazio in his first role before taking Inter to a Champions League final in 2022/3 before winning Serie A with them the following season.
Despite being the more successful brother on the pitch, Fiippo Inzaghi's managerial career has not matched his younger brother's.
As a player, 'Pippo' was part of the Italy team that won the World Cup in 2006 before scoring both goals in the 2-1 Champions League final for AC Milan against Liverpool just under a year later.
Filippo was thrown in the deep end at AC Milan following his retirement after replacing a brief Clarence Seedorf stint – the Rossoneri clearly not casting their net wide for managerial appointments back then.
There have been ups and downs for the former Juventus striker since then, promotions with Venezia and Benevento but short stints at Bologna (where he faced his brother in the opposite dugout for the first time) and Salernitana.
Now with Pisa, he has earned the Tuscan side promotion to Serie A for the first time in 34 years after finishing second behind Sassuolo in the Italian second flight.
Should both managers stay in their posts over summer then they will lock horns again with Filippo once again being the underdog against Simone.
As players, the Inzaghi brothers faced off eight times, with Filippo having the best of it with three wins compared to Simone's two.
Filippo hasn't managed a win in three games against Simone since then. Lazio defeated both Bologna and Benevento, although the latter did also manage a draw at home before losing in Rome.
Naturally, Inter will be expected to cruise past Pisa next season but Filippo may be hoping that this time he can find a club to put the trust in him that Lazio and Inter had in Simone.
