Brentford claimed a 4-2 win over promotion rivals Bromley in the LSE Division One North on Sunday afternoon at Gtech Community Stadium.

Karleigh Osborne’s side were in fine form at the Gtech as Chloe Logie scored a hat-trick. Ashley Cheatley struck once, scoring from the spot as the Bees cruised to three points.

The west Londoners began with real intent but it was Bromley who had the first opening. Carolin Engelhard was there to make a great tackle to deny the Bromley striker.

Brentford soon had their first chance as Cheatley raced clear of the backline but a last-ditch tackle from Hannah Paige diverted the ball away from the forward.

A penalty was won for the Bees by Logie as her goalbound effort was diverted away by the hand of Melanie Espinosa. Logie stepped up to take the spot-kick but Charlotte Greenwood in the Bromley goal denied her from 12 yards.

Alissa Down was next to go close as she saw a free-kick from distance crash against the crossbar.

The pressure was increasing from the home side and Logie fired from an awkward angle to draw a remarkable save from Greenwood.

The deadlock was broken on 23 minutes as Logie fired in from close range following a goalmouth scramble.

Logie had her and Brentford's second shortly afterwards as she pounced on an error at the back before breaking clear of the defence and finishing confidently past the keeper.

Osborne’s side were in full flow and Nikki Woods was brought down by full-back Mercedes Bromfield as they earned another penalty. Cheatley stepped up to take this one and smashed it into the top corner to give the west Londoners their third goal.

The Ravens began the second period with intent, and they drew a good save from Lily Hadrava soon after the interval.

Brentford then scored their fourth and it was Logie who completed her hat-trick. Similar to her second, she was played through the defence before finding the corner of the goal.

Hannah Paige scored for Bromley with a strike from long distance as the away side grabbed one back, and Ellie Bovill netted another for the visitors late on.

Osborne’s side controlled the ball for the remaining minutes of the match, cruising to yet another Gtech win.

Victory means that Brentford have edged closer to the season's target of promotion and continued their 100% record of 15 wins from a possible 15.

Osborne: A "great advert" for women's football

Brentford Women head coach Karleigh Osborne praised his side following yet another win at Gtech Community Stadium.

"I am very happy with this group, they have been amazing this season," said Osborne.

"Bromley came to play football and this was a great advert for women's football. I am so pleased with the support that we have received. The team are doing well and we were able to show what we were capable of today.

"There were some nervy moments but all in all, I am very happy with the performance and Chloe Logie as well who was able to get a hat-trick."

Chloe Logie fixed on 'belief' as promotion push edges closer

Brentford Women striker Chloe Logie reflected on an excellent attacking performance at the Gtech to score a hat-trick against Bromley.

“I am really happy with my performance and the team's performance, we are really happy to have won today," said the striker.

"Karleigh has spoken to us about having belief and I think we showed that.

"The plan was to maintain our shape but ensure we got at them and attacked in the right way. I am pleased that we were able to do that."
