Juventus Women are back in Serie A action with the beginning of the Poule Scudetto this Sunday - which corresponds to Matchday 19 of the season overall - as Roma visit Biella.

Massimiliano Canzi’s side host the Giallorosse for a 15:30 CET kick-off on Sunday, and the Bianconere coach sat down to share his pre-match thoughts as the February international break came to an end.

THE POULE SCUDETTO

“We should be happy with the start to the season we’ve had, and what we’ve done so far, but we must be aware that it’s a long way from being over and now we’re at a point of the season wherein the games are more important and each point carries more weight.

“Physical condition and the level of attention will make the difference in this Poule Scudetto. The team in the best shape will have the best chance of winning games, and of course when it comes to attention that’s a fundamental detail. The girls have come back [from international duty] with a lot of enthusiasm and a real decide to start the Poule well.”

ROMA

“We’re expecting a tough game, as those against Roma always are, which we’ve seen this season both at the Allianz Stadium and in the away game down there.

"The away game against them is the most recent, and they played a better game than us. We’re awaiting a game that will see the finer details matter, from start to finish, and it’ll be a very physical game. We need to really play like Juventus.”

CASCARINO AND ROSUCCI BOTH RENEWING

“I couldn’t be happier with the renewals of [Estelle] Cascarino and [Martina] Rosucci.

“Up until her injury, Estelle was the player with the most minutes played this season, which shows my confidence in her. She might even have been one of the girls who adapted best to my style of play, so I think that’s a great investment for the future.

“On Martina, she has earned this on the pitch. When I got here we had doubts, she did too, about whether or not she could get back to 100% after a year and a half out. But she showed real strength and her excellent performances have earned her this renewal - it is well deserved. All of the minutes she’s played have been earned, and she has been called upon at important moments for us. She’s a very important player for the group, on and off the pitch. This renewal isn’t something done because of what she has given to the club, but because of what she continues to show and what she will continue to be able to give us on the pitch.”
