Cesc Fàbregas’ Como table €7 million offer for Barcelona star | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is the subject of a concerted transfer push on the part of Serie A outfit Como.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto of Relevo, who points towards Eric García as the player in question.

The name of versatile defender Eric has of course proven itself a prominent one in the headlines throughout the January transfer window.

This comes amid the understanding that, owing to the fierce competition in both defence and midfield in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad, the Spanish international could be on the move, for the right price.

A number of clubs, in turn, have been credited with an interest in landing Eric over the coming week.

And, as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the identity of another has been revealed.

As per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, Serie A newcomers Como, in the midst of an impressive ongoing signing spree, have set their sights firmly on Eric.

In fact, the Italians recently went as far as to table an opening €7 million bid for the former Manchester City man’s services.

Unfortunately for Cesc Fàbregas and his side, however, it is also noted that Eric’s ‘priority’ remains a move back to Girona, with whom he spent last season on loan.
