Real Madrid are set to host Austrian side RB Salzburg this evening at the Bernabéu, as the La Liga leaders look to make a late charge up the league table of the Champions League.

Real Madrid could still possibly secure a top-8 spot, which would secure them passage straight to the last 16, but they need to win their last two matches to stand any chance of doing so.

Conversely, a loss could possibly put Los Blancos in danger of missing out on the knockout stages altogether, a thought difficult to imagine.

Carlo Ancelotti is likely to make a handful of changes to the side which beat Las Palmas 4-1 at the weekend, the biggest of which is likely to be the return of Vinícius Jr., who missed out due to suspension.

Ferland Mendy could also replace Fran García at left-back, as the Frenchman has been the more regular starter in the Champions League.

Lucas Vázquez is also unavailable for the tie due to suspension, leaving Real Madrid without an out-and-out right-back and likely to play Federico Valverde in that role.
