Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Charleroi and Aberdeen are in discussions over a loan deal for striker Oday Dabbagh. The clubs are still yet to reach an agreement on the loan and purchase option for the deal. Charleroi, according to Tavolieri, are hoping that by moving on from Dabbagh they can free up space to bring in another forward.
Dabbagh joined the side last season with hopes that he would become their new forward. However, while he did show some promise, the move never really came off. This year he has fallen down the pecking order with Serbian forward Nikola Stulic become the sides starting striker. The 26-year-old scored six goals in 29 games during his first season in Belgium, with just one goal in 15 this time around. Prior to joining Charleroi the forward had had a good spell in Portugal with Arouca, where he had scored 15 goals in 45 games. During the 2022/2023 season he scored 11 goals in 21 games.
