Chelsea have set an asking price for one of their players and said fee is being considered as too high for the club who want to sign him.
However, there is now a second club who have joined the race to sign the Blues player, which could still see him go this month.
We have heard a lot about this deal all week, with Chelsea and Torino locked in negotiations for midfielder Cesare Casadei to head to Serie A to join them on a permanent deal. These negotiations do continue, but it appears that they have hit a bit of a stalemate.
On the other side of this, Chelsea have been considering recalling defender Trevoh Chalobah to bolster their own defence, as well as sending in an offer to try and sign former defender Marc Guehi as another option to do that. This offer has been described as ‘silly’ and has so far been rejected.
Casadei still set to leave this month
According to Italian report Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino and Chelsea continue to try and find an agreement on Cesare Casadei. However, the £12.4 million plus a percentage fee is still too high for the Italian club.
He goes on to say that Lazio are also now interested in the Italian youth international.
This one has been heating up but it still looks like it has a long way to go get before any conclusion can be reached and Casadei can leave Chelsea in order to get more regular minutes as a starter in league matches and not just in cup games, which is what he has had to deal with at Chelsea so far.
Long way to go on all of this yet though it seems. We are in another saga!
