The new year got off to a great start for Guadalajara Femenil, as they earned their first three points with a 3-0 win over Necaxa at the Estadio Aguascalientes. The match marked a historic moment, as 'Licha' Cervantes equaled the 132 Liga MX goals scored by Omar Bravo, the top scorers for the Rebaño Sagrado in the local tournament.Antonio Contreras' team was a dynamic with a variety of attacking options. The team generated options up front and were able to contain the few opportunities generated by their opponents. It will be a short week for Chivas Femenil, as this Friday they will have another away match, this time against Santos at the TSM Stadium. The goals-And who else but the 'Depredadora'? At 5', Alicia Cervantes scored the first Rojiblanco goal of 2025 with a superb penalty kick, fooling the goalkeeper.-Come on, Amalia! At 82', the Guadalajara youngster received the ball inside the area, cut back her marker with great class and calmly scored at the near post.-GOAL! At 86', Casandra Montero saw 'Montse' Hernández all alone on the left, served to her and the Rojiblanca 18-goaler put the ball into the corner with an unassailable left-footed shot.
Danger! At 13', a ball that was passing through the penalty area reached the feet of Viridiana Salazar, who took a left-footed shot, which was stopped by the goalkeeper's diving save.-In the next play, Damaris Godínez crossed from the right to find Carolina Jaramillo's header from the penalty spot, which went just wide.-At 16', Cervantes' header came from Cervantes, who won the service of 'Dama', but could not connect in a good way.Again Salazar tried the same formula: a ball to the far post and a left-footed shot that ended up in the goalkeeper's hands. At 24', the Rojiblancas combined until they found the 'Comandante' in the half-moon, who waited for the diagonal of 'Gaby' Valenzuela and let her left foot go all the way to the far post, although the ball went wide.-What you were going to do, Damaris! At 29', a corner kick left Godínez alone at the entrance of the box, and without thinking, she sent a shot that rattled the Necaxista crossbar.-At 59', a good recovery by the Rebaño cut off an opponent's counterattack and started their own, with Daniela Calderón looking for the near post from the right, demanding the goalkeeper.-Caro' was left with nothing! At 63', Calderón and Jaramillo got together and the 'Comandante' was left facing the goal, who tried to surprise with a right-footed shot, but it hit the side netting.-What happened? A great play down the left side left 'Licha' inside the box at 71', who after a couple of rebounds shot at the Necaxa goal in the small area, but hit the crossbar and the rebound stung off the line.
