“For Saturday I have several solutions. Those who have returned from the national teams are very eager to play. It will be a difficult match against Lecce.”

“Today I told the boys that without Europa League we will be deciding from game to game who plays, depending on who is in better shape. Everybody is important.”

“Gasperini? Ghisolfi and I will give a list of coaches to the president, then he will decide. If I stayed we would lose a year. I am not the future of Roma, whoever arrives next will be.”

“The next coach?  You can exclude Gasperini and all those [the media] mentioned.”

“Friedkin? I prefer a president who speaks little and does a lot. Then if he appears little I don’t care, we are pushing on all fronts, on the stadium too. He wanted Mourinho and he got him, he wants to build the stadium and he’s moving forward… I prefer a president who speaks little and does a lot.”

“Hummels is fine and training well. He could even play on Saturday.”

“I have said that I want Paredes to stay. He said that he wants to return to Argentina as I have said several times that I want to return to Rome.”

“Koné? He was tired and he rested with me and did well with France. Let’s see how he is, if he’s not in shape he’ll go on the bench.”

“I spoke with Dybala, he is very well and satisfied with how everything went. Now he just has to wait, without rushing things. For the cruciate ligament, they wait 6 months but this is not the cruciate ligament. It should take less, but we can’t say how long.”
