Claudio Ranieri previews Roma-Genoa | OneFootball

Roma boss Claudio Ranieri sat down to preview Friday night’s match against Genoa.

At 13h00 CET, Ranieri held a press conference at Trigoria where he addressed members of the media.

The manager was asked about Lorenzo Pellegrini and Matias Soule’s future.

“Could Pellegrini leave? Anything is possible, but I don’t think so. If a team arrives with an offer and he is happy to go, we will of course evaluate the proposal, but honestly I don’t think so.”

“I believe a lot in Soulé, I am convinced that he is a player of the future of Roma. He is improving on being more practical. He will stay here with us because I believe a lot in him.”

“I am asking him to be more pragmatic, so that he can start playing more consistently.”

“Our goal is to play game after game. I don’t like to promise what we can’t do. We need to have a practical, eager team and we will try to give our best both in the league and in the cups, to be competitive.”

“I don’t talk about the market or about players whose names come out in the newspapers. I’m looking for a player who can help us. I want us to avoid making mistakes and selecting wisely someone who can play for Roma now and in the future.”

“We need to give Roma an identity and make our fans proud of us. We will fight on all fronts, Serie A, Coppa Italia and Europa League.”
