Date set for the postponed La Liga match between Barcelona and Osasuna

FC Barcelona returned to the top of the La Liga table with a crucial win against Atletico Madrid last night, in which the Catalans had to work their way out from a 2-goal deficit in the 70th minute.
With this win, the Blaugranes are tied on points with Real Madrid at the top of the table, while the Colchoneros remain in the third spot, 4 points behind these two teams.
However, Barcelona’s lead at the top could have been even greater, as they have played a game less than these two teams. Their last week’s match in La Liga against Osasuna was postponed due to the death of Dr Carles Minarro, and the new date for this match was not announced at the time of the postponement.
According to Mundo Deportivo, this date has now been set by a disciplinary judge to March 27th, which will be only two days after the end of the March international break, which started today on Monday. The time of this game is yet to be decided.
Neither of the teams was in favour of setting this date to play their postponed game. Barcelona were reluctant because they will be unable to count on two important players, Ronald Araujo and Raphinha, who will not have enough rest after playing for their respective national teams.
However, RFEF regulations quite clearly mention that national team duties are not grounds to justify a suspension or postponement of a game. There is already a precedent in this regard, as a postponed Copa del Rey match between Jove Español de San Vicente and Real Sociedad was rescheduled during an international break, even though La Reale were without several key players.
Still, Barcelona can appeal to a second-instance judge to get another date for this game. They also have a precedent to support their case, as Villarreal and Espanyol were able to get their match rescheduled in similar circumstances.
