Manchester City locked horns with Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium earlier today as they focused on securing all three points on their travels in the Premier League. The Mancunian club made a dominant start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.

Pep Guardiola’s men pushed on in search of the winning goal in the second half but had to settle for a lackluster 0-0 draw away from home.

The Brazilian goalie didn’t have a save to make in the game and kept an easy clean sheet this afternoon.

RB: Rico Lewis – 6.5/10

He didn’t do much wrong defensively but struggled to influence the game in the opposition half.

CB: Ruben Dias – 7.5/10

Dias did his fair share of defending and was a threat at the other end of the pitch.

CB: Manuel Akanji – 7.5/10

He cleared his lines when needed and was a real handful inside the Southampton penalty box.

LB: Josko Gvardiol – 7/10

Gvardiol got stuck in with some crunching tackles and made one decent run with the ball.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 7/10

He made a couple of inviting chances for his teammates and was not shy of having a strike at goal.

CM: Mateo Kovacic – 7/10

Kovacic was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.

RW: Jason McAtee – 6.5/10

McAtee made one promising chance in the final third but was replaced at half-time.

CAM: Kevin De Bruyne – 7.5/10

He was a constant menace in the Southampton half but failed to find the back of the net.

LW: Phil Foden – 6.5/10

Foden caused a few headaches for his marker but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.

ST: Erling Haaland – 6.5/10

Haaland made two meaningful openings for others around him but there was no goal for him this afternoon.
