Beth Mead, Caitlin Foord, Frida Maanum, Lina Hurtig and Alessia Russo were all on target in-front of 22,467 fans in North London.
Arsenal took the lead after just 13 minutes when Mead met a Maanum cross and directed a curling effort off the far post and beyond visiting keeper Sophie Baggaley.
The Gunners’ advantage was doubled in the 22nd minute by Foord. She met Emily Fox’s low cross and slotted the ball past Baggaley.
Maanum extended Arsenal’s lead further after 25 minutes when she picked out the top right corner of the Brighton & Hove Albion net.
Foord then had an opportunity to make it four, but her long-range effort struck the near post.
Brighton & Hove Albion went close to reducing the deficit in the second half when Kiko Seike took aim at goal, but her effort hit the crossbar.
Arsenal then extended their lead to four following a corner from Katie McCabe. Her delivery found second half substitute Hurtig who headed in.
Within the six additional minutes at the end of the game, Russo added another goal to the hosts’ tally. She converted from the penalty spot after Stina Blackstenius had been fouled.
Both sides are back in Barclays Women’s Super League action next weekend. Arsenal travel across North London to face neighbours Tottenham Hotspur while Brighton & Hove Albion play host to West Ham United at the Amex Stadium.
