One player has been named as being easily the best on the night amongst Chelsea’s impressive player ratings from last night.

The news comes after The Blues thrashed Swedish side Djurgarden 4-1 away from home in the first leg of the Conference League semi-final last night in what was a very convincing performance for Enzo Maresca’s side.

Winger Noni Madueke played the first half and then was subbed off, but he grabbed a tidy little goal and had a terrific performance before doing so. His overall effect on the game was great.

Then in the second half Chelsea finished things off with two goals scored by striker Nicolas Jackson, who had just arrived onto the pitch at half time to play the second half of the game.

Football London have given out some impressive ratings for the Chelsea players last night, and especially for Enzo Fernandez who gets the highest rated 9.

They write on Fernandez:

‘Easily Chelsea’s best player on the night and got a well-earned rest in the second half. With his two assists here, he now has more this season than in his previous three combined (Conference League quality gap caveat not withstanding).

‘Picked out Sancho well for the opening goal and slipped one to Madueke for the second. His touch from Adarabioyo’s pass in the creation of the first is just as good as either as it was rapped into him at shin height. Tried the same again later in the half and set up another scoring opportunity.

‘Always looking for the forward pass and worked well with Madueke on the right, finding some good spaces. Chelsea’s chief attacking orchestrator for much of the game.

Tosin Adarabioyo, Noni Madueke, Jadon Sancho, and Nicolas Jackson all get rated an 8.

Marc Cucurella, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tyrique George, and Moises Caicedo all get rated a 7.

Filip Jorgensen, Josh Acheampong, Benoit Badiashile, and Reece James get a 6.

Cole Palmer and Trevoh Chalobah get the lowest ratings with a 5.

Youngster also praised

Maresca bought on 16-year-old Reggie Walsh for his senior debut and what a moment that was for him – he almost scored with his first touch too!

And he earned some fine praise from the boss after the game, who says the midfielder is perfect for his system.

I suspect this will not be the last we hear of this young rising star and props to Maresca for bringing him on.
