Arsenal clinched a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli finding the net to seal an historic evening for the visitors.
The outcome of the second leg saw Mikel Arteta’s side advance with a dominant 5-1 aggregate score, as Kieran Tierney featured as a late substitute in Madrid.
Following The Gunners progression to the last four of Europe’s elite club competition, Izaguirre showed his support for his former teammate by sharing an Instagram post featuring a photo of himself in an Arsenal jersey bearing Tierney’s name and number 3 on the back. Kieran Tierney and Emilio Izaguirre were teammates at Celtic for a three-year spell.

Kieran Tierney earned his place in the Celtic lineup by displacing the Honduran left-back, who initially left the club after the 2016/17 campaign but made a comeback to Glasgow’s east end in 2018 for a second spell.
The Scotland international is set to rejoin his boyhood club Celtic this summer, having signed a pre-contract agreement to make the move official. After six years at Arsenal following his £25 million transfer, the 27-year-old could cap off his time at the Emirates with a Champions League winners medal.
Arsenal is set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals, with the first leg scheduled in two weeks time.

The Parisians will be favourites for the tie after defeating several English Premier League clubs this season including Manchester City, Liverpool and Aston Villa. However, Celtic supporters will be cheering Tierney on and be hoping that the incoming full-back will not get injured between now and June.
All the best to Kieran as he embarks on what could be a remarkable last few months in North London.
We all look forward to seeing you back at Celtic in the summer!
