Yesterday evening, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24) made his first start in the Champions League since his winter move from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain.

It would be a standout performance for the Georgian winger who would score in the 39th minute as PSG demolished Stade Brestois 7-0 (10-0 on aggregate). His new head coach Luis Enrique has been keen to temper unrealistic expectations and stresses that the winger still needs time to adapt to his teammates and find his footing in the French capital.

It’s a point that Kvaratskhelia seemed to agree with as he spoke in a mixed-zone interview, attended by Get French Football News. “Yeah of course [I] need time. I haven’t shown everything. I just need time and to work hard and everything will go well. This is the story of football.”

When asked about PSG’s chances at winning the Champions League, the new recruit said “Yeah of course everything is possible… we just have to concentrate and put everything on the field.”

Les Parisiens face either Barcelona or Liverpool in the Round of 16 with the draw on Friday deciding which of the two they will have to meet.
