meanwhileFiorentina CEO Alessandro Ferrari says that Inter Milan were “the first club to contact” La Viola about the condition of Edoardo Bove.
Ferrari spoke to reporters, via FCInterNews. He also updated on the 22-year-old’s recovery after his health scare during yesterday’s match.
Yesterday’s Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi came to a sudden and dramatic halt after a medical emergency for Viola midfielder Bove.
The 22-year-old collapsed away from the action around the fifteenth minute of play.
Emotional scenes ensued as Bove was unconscious on the pitch. Both sets of players were visibly distraught.
In the end, the teams did not play on after the incident.
Bove did not regain consciousness at any point at the stadium after he collapsed. He went to the hospital.
As far as Bove’s condition, Fiorentina CEO Ferrari said that “We’re more relaxed than yesterday.”
“We saw him this morning. He’s lucid. We spoke with him.”
“The situation has to remain under control. But Edoardo is stable.”
Meanwhile, Ferrari noted that “President Commisso called us through the night, and this morning spoke to the young man’s father.”
“As far as Bove, he’s spoken with the team,” Ferrarri noted meanwhile.
“And he’s convinced them to play on Wednesday [in the Coppa Italia against Empoli].”
“So we’ll take to the pitch immediately, partly thanks to Edoardo’s enthusiasm,” said the Fiorentina CEO meanwhile.
“He’s taken in the love from the entire world of football after what happened,” said Ferrarri, meanwhile.
“Every club has contacted us to ask about him,” he added. “Inter the first of all.”
