Fiorentina Contemplate Last-Minute Swoop For Inter Milan Striker | OneFootball

Fiorentina are considering a last-minute move to sign Inter Milan striker Marko Arnautovic before the January transfer window closes.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the move could however be dependent on Inter finding a replacement.

Fiorentina are thinking about making an attacking signing before the January transfer window slams shut.

Specifically, La Viola want an out-and-out centre-forward.

With Christian Kouame on the way out, Fiorentina feel they don’t have an adequate backup to Moise Kean to lead the line.

Time is running out for the Tuscans to find the right player to bolster their squad, though. There are just a couple more days left in the transfer window.

Fiorentina Consider Last-Minute Swoop For Inter Striker Marko Arnautovic

According to the Corriere, one player who Fiorentina have identified as a target is Inter striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Tuscans have targeted the Austrian international in the past.

And according to the Corriere, Fiorentina have come forward with an offer of an eighteen-month contract until the end of June 2026. This would see Arnautovic earn wages of €2.5 million net per season.

Arnautovic would represent an experienced option who knows Serie A very well.

However, it is far from certain that Inter will accept offers for Arnautovic.

The Nerazzurri currently have five senior strikers in the squad, including Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa.

If Inter feel that Correa can offer guarantees of fitness, they may well be willing to sell Marko Arnautovic.

Or alternatively, Inter could themselves line up a last-minute replacement for the former Stoke City and West Ham United striker.

However, if Inter feel that Arnautovic still represents vital squad depth, they’re likely to reject Fiorentina’s advance.
