Kylian Mbappe’s arrival at Real Madrid has made waves in the football world, and his presence has certainly left an impression on many, including former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart.

Recently, Gaspart was asked about how much Mbappe scares him, and his response was candid.

While acknowledging the immense talent of the French forward, he admitted that he finds Mbappe’s skills quite intimidating. He stated that as a footballer, Mbappe is indeed very good and that his abilities do concern him.

“Between a lot, a little… A lot, a lot is a lot, huh? As for football, let me admit that this young man is very good. It worries me a lot, yes, yes,” he said as quoted by SPORT.

Signing for Barcelona?

Gaspart was then asked whether he would sign Mbappe for Barcelona, to which he gave a definitive answer, saying he would have signed him “yesterday.”

This remark comes with the understanding that Mbappe has already made a significant impact at Real Madrid.

Despite a shaky start to the season, he seems to be finding his form at the Santiago Bernabeu. The forward has quickly settled into life at Madrid, showing why he was considered the marquee signing of the summer.

Mbappe has already faced Barcelona twice as a Real Madrid player, with both encounters resulting in heavy defeats for his side. In their first league meeting, Barcelona triumphed with a dominant 4-0 scoreline, and in the Super Cup final, they secured a 5-2 victory.

So far this season, Mbappe has played in 31 matches for Real Madrid, scoring an impressive 21 goals across various competitions.

He has netted 15 goals in La Liga, 3 in the Champions League, and has also contributed in the Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, and European Super Cup.
