Germany and Real Madrid Femenino star Melanie Leupolz has suffered a serious injury after a confirmed ligament tear against Arsenal.
This news comes in the wake of Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Women's Champions League on a water-logged pitch that has drawn heavy criticism.

Leupolz was seen to have kicked the playing surface during the run of play before going down in tears before being helped off the pitch.
The incident occurred only a matter of days after Chelsea Women's boss Sonia Bompastor levied questions surrounding pitch quality when the Blues clashed with Derby County, while former Arsenal star Ian Wright labeled the pitch a disgrace during the Gunners loss.
