Sky Germany report that Hertha Berlin have rejected offers for Milan and Porto target Ibrahim Maza (19). Both clubs held concrete discussions with the 2. Bundesliga side today but were unable to find a breakthrough in negotiations with Hertha wanting in excess of €20m for the Algerian attacking-midfielder.
Maza is regarded as a top talent with German football and has registered nine goal contributions (five goals and four assists) in 20 league games for Hertha Berlin this season. It was reported in November that both Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart had shown an interest in signing Maza, who has a contract until 2027.
It’s now expected that Maza will remain a Hertha Berlin player for the remainder of the season but with a return to the Bundesliga – as of now – unlikely, the Algerian could well depart the capital club should they receive a suitable offer in the summer, which is entirely likely.
