How much Inter and Juventus are guaranteed to earn at 2025 Club World Cup | OneFootball

Inter and Juventus will both be competing for a slice of a $1bn prize pot at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States this summer, but here is how much both of the Serie A sides are guaranteed to earn from the tournament.

FIFA confirmed the full breakdown of the Club World Cup prize money on Wednesday. There will be €930m ($1bn) up for the 32 participating teams. The eventual winners will earn up to €117m ($125m) from the tournament.

2025 Club World Cup: How much will Inter and Juventus earn?

The €930m prize pot will be divided into two sections: The participation pillar – worth €488m ($525m) – is the amount reserved for the 32 teams’ participation fees. The Sporting performance pillar – worth €442m ($475m) in total – is the pot that will be reserved for bonuses based on performance and progression in the tournament.

Teams from Europe will earn somewhere between €11.9m and €36m guaranteed. Exactly how much each European team from their participation fee depends on FIFA’s ‘sporting and commercial criteria’, which La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests is likely to be based on recent Champions League performances and annual turnover.

If that is the case, then Real Madrid and Manchester City will earn more from their participation fees than any other team involved at the Club World Cup .

Inter should rank somewhere around seventh of the European teams, likely behind Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund. Juventus, meanwhile, should rank somewhere between ninth and 10th, possibly behind Atletico Madrid as well as the aforementioned teams.

If that is the case, then Inter will be guaranteed to earn somewhere around €24m from the 2025 Club World Cup.

For Juventus, the predicted figure stands at €18m-€20m guaranteed.

How much more could Inter and Juventus earn?

That is solely the fee for participation, though. Each group stage win is worth an additional €2m, and a draw worth €1m. Progression to the round of 16 is worth an additional €6.9m, progression to the quarter-finals worth an additional €12.18m, progression to the semi-finals worth an extra €19.5m.

The losing finalist will take home an extra €27.9m, and the eventual winner will claim a €37.2m bonus.
