Injured Real Madrid star hints at major progress in recovery | OneFootball

A sidelined member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Monday hinted that his return to the pitch is drawing closer.

The player in question? Dani Carvajal.

Full-back Carvajal has for his part of course been out of action for the last five months.

This comes after the Spanish international was stretchered out of a 2-0 La Liga victory over Villarreal, with what was later confirmed to be a torn ACL.

Now 33, some had questioned whether the severity of Carvajal’s injury could prove to be career-threatening.

Safe to say, however, that the stopper has no intention of hanging up his boots any time soon…

Taking to his official Instagram account on Monday, in fact, Carvajal unveiled a photo of himself in a pair of football boots, accompanied by the altogether encouraging caption:

‘How I’ve been missing you!’

Should Carvajal’s recovery continue along its current trajectory, it is not ruled out that he could play his part in this summer’s Club World Cup.
