Eduardo Camavinga was one of Real Madrid’s most lively players at Anfield in the big UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool earlier this week.

The night, however, did not end well for him as he was forced off the field during the game with discomfort in his thigh and the club subsequently confirmed his setback to be a biceps femoris injury.

The player has now been ruled out of action for at least two weeks, possibly extending to three weeks in what came as a big blow for Real Madrid.

Recovery has begun

As revealed by AS in a recent update, Camavinga has started his recovery and is aiming for a return in time for Real Madrid’s game in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final.

The game will be played on December 18th as it stands, four days before Real Madrid’s game against Sevilla in La Liga.

Going per that same timeline, Camavinga will be out of action for over two weeks and will miss at least five games for Real Madrid.

He will be unavailable for the team’s game against Getafe and will also miss the clashes against Athletic Club, Girona and Rayo Vallecano in La Liga. He will also be unavailable for Real Madrid’s big clash against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League.

The Frenchman’s absence is indeed a big blow for the management, but with Aurelien Tchouameni very close to recovery, Ancelotti could have a solid replacement by next week.

The 22-year-old has only made five league appearances for Real Madrid so far this season, providing one assist in the process. Further, he averages 0.8 key passes per game and completes 88% of his passes.
