Inter’s injury crisis is set to ease slightly, as they are reportedly on track to recover two key players for their first-leg Round of 16 clash against Feyenoord.
Recent fitness issues have severely limited Simone Inzaghi’s options on the flanks, leaving Denzel Dumfries as the only available wing-back for the European fixture.

The coach was also concerned about Hakan Calhanoglu’s condition after the Turkish playmaker was subbed off in the second half of the Nerazzurri’s latest Serie A outing at Napoli. He was taken off at the same time as Federico Dimarco, who is set to remain sidelined for at least three weeks.
However, Calciomercato.com reported that the 31-year-old underwent a full training session with the team on Tuesday, meaning he is expected to be fully available for his side’s match in Rotterdam, with Inzaghi needing to decide whether to include him in the starting line-up.
The Nerazzurri squad for the trip to Feyenoord will also include Yann Sommer, as the Swiss goalkeeper is set to return to action after suffering a fractured thumb in February. However, he will need to wear special protection in order to play.

While the veteran is expected to be fit enough to feature, there is no guarantee that Inzaghi will start him, given that backup goalkeeper Josep Martínez has delivered strong performances in his absence.
