A Bit of History
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two teams. However, it marks the fourth series between Jamaican clubs and MLS teams, with MLS sides winning all previous encounters. In the 2004/05 quarterfinals, D.C. United eliminated Harbour View FC with a 4-2 aggregate score. In the 2007/08 quarterfinals, D.C. United once again knocked out Harbour View FC, this time with a dominant 6-1 aggregate victory. The most recent matchup came in the First Round of the 2024 edition, when FC Cincinnati eliminated Cavalier SC with a 6-0 aggregate score.
Cavalier SC is one of five Jamaican clubs that have never won a match in the Concacaf Champions Cup. The others are Arnett Gardens (1979, 2003), Black Lions FC (1991), Montego Bay United FC (2016), and Portmore United (2006, 2020).
