Yann Bisseck looks to have become only the latest in a line of injuries in the backline for Inter Milan in recent weeks.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter have been missing quite a few defenders over the last several weeks.
Both of Benjamin Pavard and Francesco Acerbi have been absent since November. Both due to thigh strains.
Pavard is ready to finally return, however. And Acerbi is nearly there as well.
Then, Stefan de Vrij and Matteo Darmian have also had some fitness issues that have seen them on the sidelines for shorter periods.
And even Alessandro Bastoni has certainly had to grit his teeth and play through some discomfort.
One bright spot during this period has been the form of Yann Bisseck.
The German has managed to hold down the fort very well on the right of Inter’s back three. He has started the majority of the team’s matches during the period.
But Bisseck’s luck looks to have finally run out.
The 24-year-old is not feeling at his best after the team’s Supercoppa Italiana final loss to AC Milan. He will likely be out for at least one or two matches.
This continues a trend in which the injuries are very much targeting Inter’s backline in particular.
