According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Inter Milan have set their sights on two Real Madrid midfielders, namely, Arda Guler and Dani Ceballos as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Despite their current run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, the Italian giants are already planning significant moves in the summer transfer window, and the pair from the Spanish capital have emerged as key targets.
Guler, the 20-year-old Turkish sensation, has endured a frustrating tenure at Real Madrid. Plagued by injuries and overshadowed by stiff competition in midfield, he has seen limited minutes under Carlo Ancelotti.
Though the youngster was previously determined to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid, his stance could shift depending on who takes over the reins at Madrid after Ancelotti’s exit.
Real Madrid, for their part, are not keen to sell Guler permanently. The club still sees him as a long-term project and is likely to prefer a loan deal if they allow him to leave.

Inter are expected to monitor the situation closely and may offer Guler more regular playing time—a factor that could weigh heavily in the player’s decision-making process.
Ceballos, on the other hand, is in a different stage of his career. At 28, he has struggled to gain consistent momentum this season, primarily due to persistent injury issues.
While his contract runs until 2027, speculation about a summer exit has been ongoing, with former club Real Betis reportedly interested in a reunion.
Inter’s interest in Ceballos aligns with their need for experienced, versatile midfielders who can contribute immediately. Still, any concrete movement on this front is likely to hinge on who Real Madrid appoint as their new manager.
The incoming coach’s tactical plans and squad preferences will play a decisive role in determining whether Ceballos or Guler, or both, are deemed surplus to requirements.
