Eustace has been linked with a number of jobs in recent months - but he doesn't seem to be bothered by this speculation.

Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace has revealed he doesn't pay attention to the noise and is only focused on his squad after speculation concerning Coventry City, Hull City, Southampton, and Wolves.

Making this claim to the Lancashire Telegraph, his comments will please Rovers fans, who have seen plenty of speculation surrounding their manager in recent months.

Eustace came in after Jon Dahl Tomasson's departure, with the former making the move to Ewood Park back in February this year.

He had a point to prove after being harshly sacked by Birmingham City during the early stages of the 2023/24 campaign - and he was able to keep Rovers up at the expense of Blues.

A 2-0 win away at champions Leicester City on the final day of the season kept Blackburn up in the end - and Eustace could relax after that - knowing he had guided the club to safety.

The 45-year-old has been able to build on it this term, with his team currently in the promotion mix after picking up some very positive results.

John Eustace speaks out after Blackburn Rovers exit links

There has been no shortage of speculation regarding Eustace's future since the start of the season.

Premier League sides Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with him - and the Lancashire Telegraph recently revealed that Coventry City and Hull City had weighed up approaches for him after the departures of Mark Robins and Tim Walter.

Despite this speculation, Eustace has remained grounded and revealed he is only focussed on Rovers.

He said: "I don't really take much notice of what is going on outside the football club, I don't know if I'm being spoken about.

"I am focused on improving these players every day, getting the right game plans, making sure everyone is happy at the training ground.

"I don't worry or take much notice about everything else that goes on. Nothing changes for me.

"It is credit to the players, they have got to take on the instructions and do what we want on a daily basis. They are playing fantastic football and doing what we want."

John Eustace may benefit from staying at Blackburn Rovers

In terms of Hull and Coventry, you can't really say that it would be a step up at this stage, considering both teams have struggled this season.

With this in mind, it may not have made much sense for him to move to either club.

Staying at Blackburn, therefore, is probably the better option and Eustace is probably glad that he didn't have to make a decision on whether to stay or go.

In terms of the two top-tier teams interested in him, both the Saints and Wolves aren't in the best position at this point, and both look like strong candidates to go down.
