Despite the scarce success of the Teun Koopmeiners deal, Juventus are willing to do more business with Atalanta and have Mateo Retegui, Ademola Lookman, and Ederson in their crosshairs, TuttoSport informs.
In particular, the Bianconeri kicked the tires on the Brazilian midfielder in January. Cristiano Giuntoli reached out to director Tony D’Amico, the Orobici didn’t want to sell him in January. He could be he next big ‘plusvalenza’ for La Dea.
Juventus will have to tussle with a few Premier League sides, especially the two Manchester-based ones, for Ederson and prepare a fat check to sign him. Atalanta have already rejected a €40M offer coming from England.
The 25-year-old could ask to depart to join a top club in the summer, as a few of their linchpins have done in previous years. He has registered 4 goals and 2 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions this campaign.
They should probably steer clear from Atalanta after what happened with the Dutchman, who seemed like the surest thing and instead has had big trouble fitting in and faring as well as he did in Bergamo. It has occurred to a few of their former players. Moreover, they are in a decent spot in the midfield. They’d have room for an addition only if they cut bait on Douglas Luiz, which is possible but will be hard without taking a loss, or cash in on Weston McKennie, which they shouldn’t.
As for La Dea, Lookman seems as good as gone already for a variety of reasons, but it’d be nice if they retained their other aces. They’ll have to hand out richer salaries for that, though.
