Juventus to Contemplate Reunion with Tottenham Defender | OneFootball

The recent defensive performances leave Juventus no choice but to seek a high-end center-back in January, and the latest option to fall on their radar is an old acquaintance, Radu Dragusin, who’s not a regular at Tottenham, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs (via 90min).

The Bianconeri are focusing primarily on Milan Skriniar. They need some help from PSG, and it wouldn’t be a permanent signing. The Slovak is unhappy, but the situation could change if he got more minutes before January.

In addition to Skriniar, Juventus are keeping tabs also on Dragusin, Jaka Bijol, Leo Ortiz, and Jonathan Tah. The former Genoa star has been a fringe contributor since moving to London for €25M last January. He has appeared in 13 matches for a total of 800 minutes. He has started once in the Premier League this campaign. Although, Tottenham just lost Micky van de Ven for a while.

The Bianconeri brought him to Italy from Romania in 2018 when he was only 16. He played 15 times with the U-23 squad and 4 with the first team before being loaned out and eventually redeemed by Genoa for €10M. Napoli are after him as well.

Bringing him back would right a miscalculation of the past, albeit by a different management, which didn’t foresee him blossom so much. He was tremendous at Genoa before facing stiff competition at Tottenham. Considering the Old Lady’s style of defending, at least recently, they should target somebody athletic. He would fit the mold, but, despite his lack of consistent game time, it won’t be easy to convince the Spurs to part ways with him given the size of their recent investment.
