Kenan Yildiz was shown a straight red card for violent conduct when elbowing a Monza player, so is likely to get a two-match Serie A ban, missing key Juventus games against Bologna and Lazio.
There was no reason for the Turkey international to vent his frustration, as Juve were leading Monza 2-0 in first half stoppages thanks to goals from Nico Gonzalez and Randal Kolo Muani.
Yildiz shrugged off Alessandro Bianco and caught him in the face, but the VAR officials saw clearly on camera that he had looked over to see where the player was first, then lifted the elbow to strike the opponent.

It was an intentional gesture and Kenan Yildiz seemed to admit as much when he did not even try to dispute the red card flashed in his direction by referee Daniele Perenzoni.
Instead, the forward waved an apology to the fans inside the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin as he walked off the field.
Not only does it mean Juventus are down to 10 men for the entire second half against Monza, but because it was a straight red card for violent conduct, this is likely to warrant a two-match Serie A ban.
That could be devastating for Juve’s hopes of a top four finish, as Kenan Yildiz is expected to miss the showdowns with Bologna and Lazio due to suspension.
