Premier League champions Manchester City have on Saturday been dealt a potentially costly blow on the personnel front.

This comes mere days out from the 2nd leg of the Sky Blues’ Champions League tie with Real Madrid.

Man City are fresh off a dominant victory on the league front this afternoon.

After welcoming Newcastle United to The Etihad for a Premier League clash, Pep Guardiola’s troops romped to the right side of an eventual 4-0 result.

As alluded to above, though, an otherwise fine day’s work for City was soured late in proceedings.

This came after Erling Haaland pulled up clutching his knee, before going to ground in evident distress.

The Norwegian was subsequently hauled off by Guardiola and his coaching staff, and did manage to make his way from the field of play without assistance.

Just four days out from a Champions League showdown with the aforementioned Real Madrid, though, Haaland’s participation appears to have been thrown up in the air.
