Benjamin Pavard doesn’t seem fit to start against Barcelona tomorrow, while Lautaro Martinez was tested in the Inter XI during a training session today.

Italian media, including Sky Sport Italia, report that Pavard felt discomfort in his injured ankle during a training session on Monday, so Yann Bisseck was tested in the Nerazzurri starting XI today.

Pavard had joined the rest of the team for a training session in the afternoon alongside Lautaro Martinez.

On the other hand, there are good updates regarding the Argentine striker who completed the training session with the rest of the team and was also tested among the Nerazzurri starters.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Lautaro will start in the Inter attack tomorrow alongside Marcus Thuram.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will decide on Tuesday morning whether Pavard will be available for tomorrow’s crucial game against Barcelona.

Italy international Davide Frattesi didn’t train with the rest of the team today because of a knock, but according to Sky Sport he’ll be part of the squad, starting from the bench.

What Inzaghi said during his pre-match press conference

“Barcelona have 81% possession in the league and 76% in the Champions League,” the Italian coach said.

“We know their quality and that they take risks in defence, but it’s a well-calculated risk from an excellent coach like Flick, whom I greatly respect. They are the most prolific team in the world and are competing for two more titles after winning two already.

“We’ll see whether to make tactical changes. The system is well-tested, and this time we play at home. Barcelona’s stats don’t change much whether they play at home or away. We played a great game in Montjuic, even if there were moments where we could have done better. When you win, it’s even easier to analyse and improve.”

Probable Inter XI vs. Barcelona (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Lautaro, Thuram.
