Legendary former Inter Milan striker Julio Cruz feels that this Inter Milan team “has the will to win” and is a “united group.”
The Argentine gave his thoughts in the matchday programme for this evening’s Serie A clash with Lazio.
Inter Milan are coming to the end of a long and gruelling season.
The Nerazzurri have certainly had a lot of ups and downs over the course of the campaign so far.
On the one hand, Inter risk finishing the season without silverware for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign.
Inter lost out on the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia, both times to AC Milan.
However, over the next couple weeks, Inter will have the chance to do something truly special.
In Serie A, Inter are hoping Napoli will slip up. That would give them the chance to retain their Serie A title from last season.
Meanwhile, there is an even more prestigious prize on offer at the end of May.
Inter will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. That is a match that will be season-defining for Inter, and could be the most memorable climax to the campaign imaginable.

Former striker Julio Cruz called this Inter team “a solid and compact group.”
“They have a huge will to win,” he added.
“This is a united group. Capable of suffering, and which knows how to entertain.”
Cruz then went on that “I see a lot of harmony in this team.”
“And a coach who’s leading a great team in the best way possible.”
Meanwhile, Julio Cruz called the Inter side that he played for “a team that built solid foundations.”
“A group of men who wanted to prove their worth,” the former striker continued. “Who wanted to take to the pitch to win, and to make the fans happy.”
“There are so many moments that I’ll never forget,” Cruz said.
“From our first Coppa Italia win, to the unconditional love from our fans who were always by our side through it all.”
“The matches in the Champions League,” the Argentine continued to look back. “The Scudetto that we won in Parma…”
