Real Madrid are celebrating a ‘miraculous’ development that should help them against Liverpool. Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been struggling of late.
Marca is reporting that Lucas Vazquez should be fit to face Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League later this month. The Spaniard was expected to be out for over a month with an injury but he’s enjoyed a somewhat ‘miraculous’ recovery.
That's how Bernabeu Digital describe it, anyway - they're pretty thrilled at the prospect of having Vazquez available.
After all, Madrid are lacking at right-back. Dani Carvajal is out for the season with a serious knee injury, leaving them very light.
Vazquez immediately became their strongest option there, but his injury makes him a doubt at the very least. Carlo Ancelotti is currently planning to use Fede Valverde out of position at right-back.
He may continue with that plan even after Vazquez showed rapid recovery in the early days of his injury. There will be a 'trial', essentially, against Leganes. Valverde will play right-back and Ancelotti will get an idea of how viable that is against Liverpool.
